Starting the season unranked, Southern Cal put the nation on notice beating #4 Ohio State, 79 77. It was the first of four wins vs. top 5 ranked teams on the year. Two of those four wins were against UCLA and the other was 70 69 classic against #2 Arizona in the final game of the regular season. USC
