Early US Embossing Co. Alphabet and Animal Blocks nude bookends This is the second one

This is the second one of these I've had in the shop

I found this one along with the sights of Rockland Maine drawing just listed--both done one pre-printed pages from some sort of booklet of art lessons

and large enough for storing a fancy hat or all sorts of other things

and imagine that he referred to it quite a lot

Or perhaps it was used for storing tobacco

Early US Embossing Co. Alphabet and Animal Blocks nude bookends This is the second oneA great, well used, early set of blocks, early 20th c. and made by the US Embossing Company I believe with letters (on four sides, in two different styles) and animals on the two others. I of course believe one can never have too many sets of blocks, and alphabet blocks especially in order to be able to spell out all sorts of messages! 1 13 16 cubed. Well worn as evident, but in my opinion all the better for it.
